The Senal SMH-1020CH Dual-Sided Communication Headset with Pigtail Cable (No Connector) from B&H includes everything you need in a communications headset for TV or radio broadcast settings, as well as sports applications and behind-the-scenes theater environments. It features deep, padded ear cushions for isolation and noise-reduction in noisy venues. The 40mm neodymium drivers give you a wide frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz.

The microphone is a cardioid dynamic capsule. It is designed to minimize pickup of off-axis sound while capturing your voice clearly and intelligibly. The microphone is built on a durable gooseneck that can be rotated 180° and can be configured to be used on the left or right side of the headset. In addition, a switch is built into the gooseneck that automatically mutes the signal when it’s swiveled into the vertical position. To mute the microphone, flip the gooseneck into the upright position.

The SMH-1020CH interfaces with a variety of optional cables that offer compatibility with many major wired and wireless systems such as Telex, PortaCom, broadcast consoles, mixers, and computers. The SMH-1020CH features a twist-locking jack that makes it quick and easy to change cables. Finally, the headphones are collapsible, making storage and transportation a cinch.

The Senal SMH-1020CH2 Dual-Sided Communication Headset is ideal for use with wired and wireless communications systems in TV or radio broadcast, communications systems, and sports applications. The headset features a supercardioid, dynamic microphone that’s optimized for clear and intelligible voice communication, while rejecting off-axis sound and minimizing handling noise. The microphone is mounted on a durable gooseneck for precise positioning and can be rotated 180°for use on the left or right side.

The SMH-1020CH2 is also designed with a flip-up feature that mutes the microphone when swiveled up to a vertical position. The headphones feature Senal’s 40mm neodymium drivers, which deliver a wide frequency response and dynamic range to ensure accurate monitoring. The closed back, over-the-ear design and extra-deep earcups provide sound isolation, even in noisy environments. Thick padding on the headband and earcups offer comfort throughout sessions of extended use. The headphones are also collapsible, making storage and transportation a cinch.

The SMH-1020CH2 feature Senal’s twist-locking jack that allows you to easily attach or swap cables and accessories, and expands the compatibility of the headset with Telex and PortaCom wireless systems, broadcast consoles, mixers, computers, and more.

Senal SMH-PIGTAIL Cable for Senal SMH-Series Communication Headsets

The Senal SMH-PIGTAIL is a replacement cable intended for use with SMH-series communication headsets. It can also be used to augment your headset’s versatility—as well as your own soldering handiness—as it gives you the means to wire your SMH-series headset to whatever connection you choose.

At one end, you’ll find the 2.5mm TRRS connector and corresponding locking jack; this twists into your SMH-1010CH or SMH-1020CH communication headset, establishing a secure and reliable connection all the while. At the other end, you’ll note the previously mentioned unterminated wire, with which you can forge a connection to your preferred communication system.

The SMH-PIGTAIL is part of a whole ecosystem of SMH-series cables, all of which let you swap between the pin-outs of different communication and broadcast systems with ease.

The SMH-PIGTAIL fits perfectly into the twist-lock of your SMH-1010CH or SMH-1020CH, ensuring a secure connection to your headset.
