With the ASUS 17.3″ Republic of Gamers Strix SCAR 17 Gaming Laptop, you’ll be able to play your favorite PC games at 1440p with high frame rates while on the go. Powered by a 2.5 GHz AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX 16-Core processor and 32GB of 4800 MHz DDR5 RAM, this gaming laptop can handle all your games and apps with ease. The 1TB SSD allows for fast boot and load times. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card features 16GB of GDDR6 VRAM and can provide real-time raytracing and DLSS support. The 17.3″ display features a WQHD 2560 x 1440 resolution, a 240 Hz refresh rate, and has Dolby Vision support. You can output to an external display via HDMI 2.1.

Play online multiplayer games via the reliable, wired 2.5 GbE LAN connection or go wireless with Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax). 17.3″ WQHD 240 Hz IPS-Level Display

The 17.3″ IPS-level display features a WQHD 2560 x 1440 resolution, a 16:9 aspect ratio, a 3ms response time, and a 240 Hz refresh rate. With NVIDIA G-SYNC, the display’s refresh rate synchronizes with the GPU’s output to reduce lag, minimize stuttering, and eliminate screen tearing for smooth gameplay. The laptop also has Dolby Vision HDR support.

Audio

Dolby Atmos-powered speakers create an authentic sound stage for your games. Hi-Res audio ensures that you can hear your music in the same quality it was recorded. Two-Way AI Noise Cancelation processes both incoming and outgoing audio to filter any errant background noises, making sure that your calls, chats, and streams come through without distractions.

ROG Intelligent Cooling

The SCAR 17 utilizes Thermal Grizzly’s Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal on both the CPU and GPU. An ultra-high performance thermal interface material, Conductonaut Extreme can keep these components up to 15°C cooler than traditional thermal pastes. When paired with a custom vapor chamber and four dedicated exhaust vents, this thermal solution transfers heat out of the system efficiently. ROG Intelligent Cooling technology allows critical components like the CPU and GPU to maintain higher boost frequencies for longer periods of time, keeping your frame rates smooth and steady even during extended gaming sessions. The SCAR 17 keeps the noise down too. When in Performance mode, the system does not exceed 40 dB.

Design

The SCAR 17 is wrapped into a robust milled aluminum chassis. The sporty Armor Cap adds personality to the system. Subtle cut-outs and icons adorn the exterior and add intrigue to the bottom of the laptop. A lightbar adds a bit of glow and is configurable with Aura Sync. Paired with the RGB backlit keyboard, you can set up your own unique gaming look.

Windows 11

Microsoft simplified the design and user experience with Windows 11. It has a modern, clean design with a new Start Menu position. Snap Layouts, Groups, and Desktops allow you to multitask with ease. Microsoft has also integrated some of their apps, such as Microsoft Teams. The redesigned Microsoft Store makes it easier to look for supported apps. The Pro version of Windows 11 includes all the features that Windows 11 Home offers plus many designed specifically for business users, including Hyper-V virtualization, BitLocker disk encryption, and remote desktop access.
