The Sony XPERIA 5 IV Dual-SIM 128GB 5G Smartphone adds desired features from the last generation, while expanding on what made the XPERIA 5 III popular. With the XPERIA 5 IV, you will enjoy a 6.1″ FHD+ 120 Hz OLED display that’s 50% brighter than the previous generation and the ability to recharge wirelessly. These new features come alongside significant upgrades to the rear camera system that makes the XPERIA 5 IV a pocket photography powerhouse. Now, all lenses can achieve 120 fps slow-motion video in 4K, real-time tracking & Eye AF in video, 20 fps burst in HDR, and more. On the audio side, Music Pro support lets audio pros record tracks on the go. With these and other new capabilities, Sony continues to prove that access to professional content creation is possible in a compact and mobile design.

Rear Camera System

Like the previous generation, the XPERIA 5 IV features a triple 12MP rear camera system with 16mm ultra-wide, 24mm wide, and 60mm telephoto lenses. These lenses are all equipped with the ability to record 120 fps slow-motion video at up to 4K resolution. All of the lenses are also capable of the following:

20 fps AF/AE burst photography with HDR

Wide dynamic range
Live streaming

Expanding on the above features, real-time object tracking uses AI to follow and focus on a subject and will keep tracking it, even if it temporarily moves out of sight. Burst photography rapidly grabs multiple images of a moment, so you can pick the best expression and composition. Also, when live streaming, you can do this directly from the XPERIA 5 IV using Videography Pro, or from your Alpha camera when using the XPERIA 5 IV as an external monitor.

High-End Audio

The audio on the XPERIA 5 IV has been tuned in collaboration with Sony Music and uses a host of technologies to deliver high-end mobile sound. When using a wired or wireless pair of headphones, you an experience Hi-Res Audio transmission, or you can choose to experience music in a more immersive sound space with 360 Reality Audio. Other acoustic features include DSEE Ultimate upmixing, Dolby Atmos support for more cinematic mobile streaming, and Music Pro support for high-end mobile recording.

360 Reality Audio: 360 Reality Audio completely immerses you in your music, making you feel like you’re in the room with the artist. Tracks can be found on Tidal, Amazon Music, and other streaming services, but you can also upscale your favorite stereo tracks in real time with 360 Reality Audio Upmix.
Music Pro: Music Pro utilizes cloud processing on your tracks to make it sound like they were recorded in a studio using a condenser microphone. With the phone, you get the first month of this subscription service for free with up to 100MB of processing to try it out.
DSEE Ultimate: Utilizing DSEE Ultimate, AI can upscale your lower resolution audio to close to high resolution levels for a more enjoyable experience.
